Need tires? Go pretty much anywhere but here (especially if you have a WRX...)

Kinja'd!!!

Aside from being blatantly disrespectful, and obscenely absent minded, they're just awful at their jobs.

Maybe I'm generalizing sim'ply due to how god awful the store by me is, but holy fuck. It's seriously not that hard to put tires on, I know, I did it for a while. Yet somehow in the few times my family or I has gone there they've managed to mount directional tires the wrong way around, not tighten ANY of the lug nugs on a car, and pinch a 3" exhaust on my WRX as of yesterday.

Shit will go down. I'll probably either need bail money Monday afternoon or I'll have a new cat-back in the mail courtesy of these ass holes. Seriously, when a car comes into the shop and everyone looks for their ear plugs, you'd think you'd at least consider looking under the damn car to make sure you're not gonna fuck it up by flat lifting it... Not to mention that's an awful idea to do to a car anyways. I'll try and post some pictures tomorrow.

that's pretty rubbish. I had a tyre shop mount my directional tyres on backwards too, lucky I caught it before driving away.

I make sure I check everything before I leave now. I would have written that shop off as a loss if they didn't tighten the lug nuts, they're dangerously bad at their jobs

Oh please post pics, I want to see how bad they fuckers it up.
I worked at America's Tire for a few months recently while I looked for a new job, and it's not hard. I had worked at other shops before so I knew how to do tires, it takes a few days to learn, and not that much longer to learn all the little tricks like low profiles, and reverse mount, and learning how to lift cars on flat lifts. They hired a few days new guys before I left, and it was the typical idiots. They were slow as fuck. And that's coming from me, who has several debilitating handicaps that makes it hard for me to do manual labor, and I still managed to be faster then them.
It just kills me that high traffic automotive places like tire shops hire the dumbest kids.
Have you spoken to a manager there yet, or did you walk away to prevent a murder?

I've gotten wheels from Tire Rack with all four directional tires mounted the same way.

Everyone fucks up once and awhile.

But damaging a car? That's bullshit.

Do they own DiscountTireDirect? If so I had a good experience with them.

Sorry to hear they took you round back, bent you over and went for satisfaction! Thats bullshit!

Discount Tire (direct or otherwise) and America's Tire are the same company, but Big O is someone else.

Also, I've had excellent experiences w/ Discount Tire every time. I've been a loyal DT customer for a decade or more. I recommend Tire Rack a lot too, but every time I thought I was going to have to order from Tire Rack, Discount Tire swooped in and made me an offer I couldn't refuse. They seem to really want my business.

As such, the only thing I've ever actually bought from Tire Rack is... a tire rack.

A coworker recently had a similar experience with a Tire chain here in Iowa. He went in for tires and brakes and got the car back with deep scratches across the hood, chipped paint on the driver side A pillar and grease smeared all over the interior.
With all the bad things I've heard about Big O and Flamingpebbles it's hard to believe they stay afloat.

Discount Tire does a good job. Worked there for a while and done some business with them. Respectful and they pay attention to what the hell they're doing.

Just a little friendly advice, managers are usually more helpful when you don't yell and scream. I know from personal experience how hard that can be, but being on the receiving side has shown me that it's much easier to help out the customer when they're nicer.

I remember one customer at America's Tire got a free set of expensive wheels and tires cause he blamed some dents from on his fender from the wrong size wbeel/tires, but the dents were rusted over, but he still got his way, asshole.

Hope everything works out. Next time you need tire services, you should go to an America's Tire store, they're a step above the rest

Yea I'm gonna try and hold off on the F-bombs and screaming. Usually goes better that way.

More than likely gonna be heading to Discount tire for anything else I need. They do a good job too.
